Riboflavin was originally considered for migraine headache prevention because researchers observed that migraine sufferers tend to have impaired energy production in brain cells, which riboflavin has the potential to enhance as it is a component of a key substance involved in the bodyÂ's energy production. Another nutrient important for producing energy (magnesium) has already been shown to reduce migraine recurrence.
